The story

Early years

They began with pure breed dogs in the early 1960s, achieving success at dog shows with an Akita.

This passion led them to Mexico, where they trained under William Haggerty, the former New York dog police chief.

Training under William Haggerty

Their professional journey included establishing Mexico's first comprehensive dog facility, which offered grooming, veterinary services, and specialised training.

They later played a key role in creating the Mexican dog police force, starting with rescue Dobermans and eventually developing expertise in explosives detection and other specialised sniffing work.

Building the Mexican dog police force

The trainer relocated to Scotland in 2004, establishing K9 Edinburgh.

Their mission extends beyond behavioural modification: "the goal, is to make a happy dog that enjoys been with other dogs and humans."
